Itinerary for a tour package including visits to Delhi-Neemrana-Jaipur-Samode-Nawalgrah-Mandawa-Bikaner-Khimsar-Jaisalmer-Jodhpur-Luni-Daspan-Udaipur-Kumbhalgarh.
Day 01 : Arrival in Delhi
The travel and tour operator meets you in Delhi and helps you put up in a hotel. The tour operator then takes you on an entire days tour of old city and New Delhi. You an enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi/Neemrana
On the second day the itinerary includes a drive to Neemrana in Alwar, Rajasthan. You visit the gates, arches, corridors of the old mansions in the city. After an exciting day of sightseeing and visiting several historic tourist destinations you stay at the famous Neemrana Fort and Palace hotel.
Day 03 : Neemrana/Jaipur/Samode
On the third day you leave for Jaipur, Rajasthan and the itinerary includes a visit to the Amber Fort on elephant back and lunch at the Rambagh Palace heritage hotel. The tour operator takes you on an afternoon tour of Jaipur and you enjoy visiting the Hawa Mahal. City palace Museum and Jantar-Mantar Observatory. You enjoy an overnight stay at the Samode Palace heritage hotel that is situated amid rugged hills.
Day 04 : Samode/Nawalgarh/Mandawa
On the next morning you leave for the ancient city of Nawalgarh that was founded in the 18th century. You visit the Bala Kila that has a kiosk where the walls and ceilings are painted with some of the finest murals. You get to visit the ancient havelis that are grand and beautiful. Merchant Poddars, Chhawa-Chharias, Bhagats and others, constructed these havelis that have become tourist destinations today. These havelis are mansions that have a unique architectural style. After an exciting afternoon of exploring the traditional beauty and charm of Nawalgarh you lunch at the Roop Niwas heritage hotel. In the afternoon you proceed to Mandawa that was founded in the mid 18th century. Tourists from all over the world visit this area to simply marvel at the painted murals and traditional architecture on the havelis of the Shekhawati region. You get to stay at the Castle Mandawa heritage hotel overnight.
Day 05 : Mandawa/ Bikaner
On the next morning you proceed to Bikaner and the itinerary includes a visit to Fatehpur on the way that was founded in the mid 15th century by a kayamkhani Nawab, Fateh Khan. The fact that Fatehpur was centrally located on the trade route attracted many a merchant to settle and prosper in this area. These merchants build some of the finest havelis. You visit some of the popular havelis such as the Devra, Singhania and Gunk. Fatehpur is also known for its tie and dye fabrics. Finally you travel to Bikaner that was founded in the year 1408 by Rao Bikaji. You go on a city tour and visit tourist destinations such as Devi Kund and Gam breeding.
Day 06 : Bikaner/Khimsar
In the morning you visit Deshnok that is famous for the historic Karni mata temple, the tutelary deity of the royal family. An interesting feature at this temple is that if you happen to injure or kill a rat, then you have to donate a silver or gold rat to the temple. In the afternoon you leave for Khimsar and enroute you visit the Nagaur Fort. Upon arrival at Khimsar you check in at Royal Castle Khimsar. Karamji the 5th son of Rao Jodha, the man who founded the city of Jodhpur built this heritage hotel in the 15th century. Isolated in a time wrap, Khimsar romance is heightened by a sun set drive into the desert. You stay overnight at the Castle Khimsar.
Day 07 : Khimsar/Jaisalmer
The next morning you leave for Jaisalmer, Rajasthan and visit the ancient city Osiyan on the way. The early Muslim invaders destroyed this ancient city, which is the cradle of Rajasthani temple art. There are now only 16 Hindu and Jain temples that are left in ruins that date back to the 8th century.
Day 08 : In Jaisalmer
The next morning you visit Sam, which is an exciting place to see and appreciate the sand dunes. You stay at the at the hotel during the night.
Day 09 : Jaisalmer/Jodhpur/Luni
The next morning you leave for Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Rao Jodha founded this city in the year 1459. You visit the Mehrangarh Fort, which has a high stonewall protecting the well-fortified city within the Palace. The rooms inside the Fort have a rich collection of palanquins, elephant howdahs, musical instruments, costumes, furniture and armory from the bygone era. The display of Cannon here is one of the rarest in India. In the afternoon you lunch at the Umaid Bhawan Palace heritage hotel.
Day 10 : Luni/Daspan
The next morning you leave for Daspan. The itinerary includes a visit to the jailor Fort Daspan that was founded in 1713 A.D. by grant of a jagir of two villages from the then ruler of Marwar. Upon arrival at Daspan you check-in at the Castle Durjan Niwas that was built in the early 19th century.
Day 11 : Daspan/Kumbhalgarh/Udaipur
The next morning you leave for Kumbhalgarh that is famous for its 15th century fort. This fort was built by Rana Kumbha as a shelter in times of emergency. From Kumbhalgarh you proceed to Udaipur and visit Nathdwara, which is an important Hindu pilgrim centre, Eklingji, which is famous for the 8th century family temple of the Maharajas of Udaipur, Nagda that is famous for the 9th century Sas Bahu temple and the Jain temple of Abudji. Then you proceed to Udaipur, the most romantic city of India, Maharana Udai Singh founded this city in the year 1559 A.D. Upon arrival check in at hotel and you also stay at the hotel overnight.
Day 12 : In Udaipur
The next morning you go on a city tour and finally spend a relaxed day of leisure at the hotel.
Day 13 : Udaipur/Delhi
The next morning you take the flight for Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi the tour operator offers assistance and helps you check-in at the hotel. You spend the evening enjoying folk dance performances.
Day 14 : Departure Delhi
Transfer ex-hotel to International airport to connect flight for onward destination.
