The Pancheshwar-Mahaseer fishing trip is a 10-day trip that that is usually organized during the months of March to April and September to October. The tour operator organizes a trip to the snow fed rivers Maha Kali, Sardu and Sarju. Pancheshwar is located on the foothills of the Himalayan ranges on the India-Nepal border.

This itinerary has been designed to take anglers, both amateurs and professionals on an exciting fishing trip. The Mahaseer or the Great Head is a fish that is considered to be the ultimate fishing trophy for those fishing in these regions.

While on this exciting fishing trip you also enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding forests, streams and the high mountains. You also visit some temples in the region that are dedicated to the Gods of the mountains.

The Itinerary:

DAY 01

On the 1st day you arrive at Delhi. The itinerary includes an optional afternoon sightseeing tour of Delhi. The tour operator helps you check in into a hotel where you stay overnight.

DAY 02

On the 2nd day the itinerary includes a 7-hour tour by road to Naukuchiatal and an afternoon lake walk. You go fishing on the Naukuchiatal Lake in the evening. The tour operator arranges for your overnight stay on the banks of the Naukuchiatal Lake.

DAY 03

On the 3rd day the itinerary includes a 7-hour drive from Naukuchiatal to Pancheshwar. In the early evening you can go fishing on the River Maha Kali. You camp at a site near the confluence of the rivers Maha Kali and Sarju.

DAY 04 & 05

On the 4th and the 5th day the itinerary includes an entire days fishing on the River Maha Kali and its local tributaries at Pancheshwar. You spend the night at a camp set up on a site near the confluence of the rivers Maha Kali and Sarju.

DAY 06

On the 6th day you spend the morning fishing on the river Maha Kali at Pancheshwar. The itinerary then includes a 3-hour drive to Thauli. In the afternoon you have the option to either walk down or raft down the Ladia river valley to Chuka. In the early evening you go angling at Chuka and set up a overnight camp nearby where you spend the night.

DAY 07

The itinerary on the 7th day includes an entire days angling at Chuka. You stay overnight at the camping site.

DAY 08

On the 8th day the itinerary includes early morning angling at Chuka and then in the afternoon you have the option to either walk down or raft down the river Maha Kali to Kaldhunga. You set up an overnight camp at a nearby camping site.

DAY 09

On the 9th day you drive to Naukuchiatal from Kaldhunga that takes about 6 hours by road. In the early evening you can go fishing on the Saat Tal and Naukuchiatal lakes

DAY 10

On the 10th day the itinerary includes a 7-hour drive to Delhi from Naukuchiatal. You stay overnight at the hotel and leave for your onward destination.
